The General Construction Yard in Fresno, Ca has been owned and operated by PG&E since 1917 and serves PG&E’s Central Valley Region. Anderson Burton (AB) completed upgrades to the existing service yard to increase security and improve operational efficiency. This included constructing new buildings for Fleet Services, Materials and Field Services, Management and Administration and Crew Support.
We performed a hazardous materials survey of the existing buildings on site, along with soil remediation, prior to construction activities. Our pre-construction services included engineering and design services for developing schematics, design development, permitting development and construction documents. We also performed geotechnical investigations and reporting for the design engineer, including property and topographic surveys for design, permitting and construction.
AB removed two existing buildings and replaced them with a new Operations Building and Materials/Vehicle Storage Building, along with new secured employee parking. The Operations Building consists of a conference room, offices, open office bull room, file room, huddle room, plotter room, breakroom, men’s and women’s restrooms, locker room, IT closet, janitorial room and electrical room. The Materials Storage Building consists of a vehicle maintenance bay, offices, restrooms, communications room, storage room, material warehouse, tool room and gas opening room. Our site work also included installation of IT/Security infrastructure.
