Safety

Anderson Burton is "Team Safety." We operate safely no matter what, even in hazardous work environments, severe weather and remote locations, which is why we’ve achieved one of the best safety performance benchmarks in the industry.

We implement rigorous safety controls in every phase of our projects. Every one of our partners and subcontractors has stop-work authority. If it's not safe, we don't do it. We reinforce this philosophy through a combination of technical field procedures and ongoing training, exceeding the most stringent of Federal and State OSHA requirements as well as the U.S. Army Corp of Engineers and U.S. Navy EM-385-1-1 Safety Standards Manual (the safety benchmark for federal construction projects). Our project safety personnel participate in extensive safety training which is imparted to project personnel on an ongoing basis. The result is exceptional safety performance.

Sustainability

We leverage our expertise in engineering and design to generate sustainable alternatives in the construction of our projects. This ranges from reducing material requirements, landfill waste, and water and energy use to helping our customers achieve “green” building certifications, such as Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design (LEED). We also source building materials that withstand the effects of extreme weather and atmospheric changes, leading to more resilient physical structures that will last for generations.

Innovation

Technology is a key to driving efficiencies throughout every phase of construction, from design to materials to worksite practices. We use a range of technologies, including high resolution drone footage to improve worksite safety, analyze materials placement and create 3D imaging of progress. Whether it’s reducing carbon emissions through materials and processes, or evaluating the impact of electric and transportation decisions, we are continuously incorporating new and innovative strategies for our clients.
